EBSD SYSTEM

Electron back-scatter diffraction (“ESBD”) is a technique for the identification of crystalline phases in situ at a resolution of 20 nm. The Noran phase identification software uses the EDS determined elemental composition and the unit cell volume determined by the EBSD software to identify individual crystalline phases.
